NEW Preferred Seats

Upgrade to a Preferred seat for $35 each way, tax included, and you can enjoy a seat in the front of the plane (rows up to 10 that are not Elite Plus/Exit Row seats).

Elite Plus / Exit Row Seats

Take off in style by upgrading to Elite Plus or Exit Row seats and look forward to the following additional inclusions and services:

  • Up to 6” of extra legroom (10” for exit row seats)

  • Priority check-in and boarding

  • Priority baggage handling

  • Note: Maximum weight allowance: 23 kg (50 lbs)

Pre-purchase Elite Plus or an Exit Row seat for $60 each way (tax included) or $70 each way (tax included) when purchasing less than 24 hours before departure or at the airport.

Exit row seating restrictions

In compliance with Transport Canada regulations, in order to sit in an emergency exit row, you must be:

  • Aged 12 years and older.

  • Physically capable of using the exit.

  • Capable of understanding the printed and spoken emergency instructions.

  • Able to visually determine if the exit is safe to open in the event that there is an emergency evacuation.

  • Have sufficient mobility, strength and dexterity to reach, operate and stow (otherwise dispose of) the emergency exit.

  • Able to receive oral information from the crew and orally communicate that information to other passengers.

  • Have the physical, cognitive and sensory capacity to operate an emergency exit.

You can not sit in an emergency exit row if you:

  • Are responsible for another person.

  • Have a condition that might cause you harm by opening the exit.

  • Require a seatbelt extension, as it presents a tripping hazard.

For bookings made on or after September 9, 2024, please refer to the above pricing. On bookings made before September 9, 2024, Sunwing will continue to honour the previous seat selection rates for Preferred, Elite Plus or Exit Row seats.

Please note: WestJet is operating select routes on behalf of Sunwing Airlines. Customers are advised that the minimum age requirement for exit row seats on WestJet operated flights is 16 years of age. Should a customer’s Sunwing Airlines flight be operating on a WestJet aircraft, details will be noted on their Sunwing invoice, e-documents and physical boarding pass.

These seats are not available for purchase. They are reserved for last-minute requests received at check-in for those requiring special services or with medical needs.

Elite Plus Exit Row 15 Seats – Seats 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D, 15E, 15F These seats are available for purchase (Elite Plus inclusions and pricing applies), however please note that the seats do not recline.
